RITA MITSOUKO – Marcia baila
24 JunThe French intellectual synth pop answer to Sparks?Maybe…But Les Rita Mitsuko had almost written (in the mid 80s) half the story of the new wave, boogie rock n roll and punk rock of Indie France, having Fred Cichin to be the basic member of the first underground band of this country after 1976-the legendary Gazoline. The others were Stinky Toys(with ”carrere” in punk pop England) and Extrabreit playing energetic and chaotic rock n roll and-yes-being punk…Catrin(Ringer) love you… R.I.P Fred.

WASP – 95-nasty
24 JunBlackie Goozman’s (Blackie Lawless) WASP in trashy pseudo glam metal adventures full of sexist narcissism, cocaine and Malibou life boredom…The one time member of early New York Dolls, proves that the 80s metal stars were exactly what ”Spinal Tap” explained-Shits full of guitar heavy ugliness and Plastic Blondes.Sorry Heavy Metal it’s not your fault!

KORGIS – Everybody’s got to learn sometime / Dirty postcards
24 JunModern/intellectual and romantic new wave pop from a combo that existed long time before England’s charts were attacked by the commercial-but charming- sofisti pop of Visage,ABC, Spandau Ballet, Adam Ant etc.The story of Korgis holds from the folk rock adventures of Stackridge(70s beatles influenced quirky band with bad hairstyle but wonderful songs and lyrics structures) and specifically Andy Davis an ex hippie and connoisseur of the -then strong-ethos of new wave aesthetics. Not for all tastes, and sure not for them who detest”lightweight stuff”…
