ΝΟΣΤΡΑΔΑΜΟΣ / NOSTRADAMOS – s/t

17 Jun

Pacifist flower/power folk group from Athens with wonderful melodies, interesting lyrics structures and  melancholic mood. Not a serious political oriented musical pole inside Greek Junta period, but in general(in harmony with some other rock pop groups of the same vein) helped to be created an important thoughtful social base for youths which understood themselves against the consuming side of rock art.In a way through this scene  we have the basic line for the start of the 70s rock anticulture movement in Greece.A way of thinking that would be tested very badly inside the early 80s environment…

record in excellent/near mint condition.

ΤΟΥΡΝΑΣ, ΚΩΣΤΑΣ – Αστρόνειρα / TOURNAS COSTAS – Astroneira

27 May

Original first press, gatefold copy of this amazing album by Costas Tournas.

Musically progressive with some great ideas, glam-ish artwork and spacey lyrics, it’s considered to be his best effort by far and one of the better rock lp’s that were released in Greece in the seventies…

CHRISMA – chinese restaurant

ΠΛΕΣΣΑΣ, ΜΙΜΗΣ – Παίζει Philicorda / PLESSAS, MIMIS – Plays Philicorda

27 May

Ultra rare and ultra cool, this record is one of the early works of Mimis Plessas (mid-60’s). Having his orchestra playing greek tunes in a modern way, Plessas records here 12 top-lounge-cool-jazz instrumental tunes!!!

The record was sponsored by Philips Co., who had just released their “Philicorda” electronic piano…
