JONA LEWIE – You’ ll always find me in the kitchen at parties

24 Jun

Another one strange artistic individual besides Wreckless Eric,John Cooper Clarke,Patrick Fitzerald and Duffo(Australian Bowie clone).Very strange and eclectic pub rock based new wave,at times annoying but for sure suits for repeated listens.Of course none cares, but in the mid 70s was part of a novelty act/band of British Underappreciated ,with the name of Terry Dactyl and the Dinosaurs…Jonathan King(Paloma Bianca fame) had something to do with them and signed Dinosaurs to his own UK label, also home of Ricky Wilde(yes Kim’s little talented glam pop brother),Sparky,Bunk Dogger.Dinosaurs sanked without trace and Jona returned back at the new wave explosion, where the post glam acts were so loving and ifluential for all these young punks.Stiff’s best new wave pre/boy,so what are you waiting for?
